The Spirit of Truth

What is the spirit of truth?

Proverbs 4:11-13 “I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. 12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. 13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life”.

John 15:26-27, “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning”.

John 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever, 17  the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you. 

Thus the ‘Spirit of Truth’ is the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit is Yehovah in you. It is He that leads you out of the darkness and out of the tunnel of blindness and deception into the light of His Word.

In Proverbs above we have seen two words, Wisdom in vs.11 and Instruction in vs.13.
Wisdom is referred to as she who is the right way.

Wisdom is skill (chokmah). She instills discipline (Musar) in us.

Proverbs 4:7  Wisdom is the main thing; get wisdom; and with all your getting get understanding.  8  Prize her, and she shall lift you up; she shall bring you to honor when you embrace her.  9  She shall give to your hand an ornament of grace; she shall shield you with a crown of glory. 10  Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of your life shall be many.
