Yom Teruah

Lets Today look at a very great feast. Yom Yeruah.

We read in Numbers 29:1, “….And…., on the first day of the new moon(seventh month), you have a set-apart gathering, …”-a day of blowing.

Then,

“24 “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘In the seventh new moon, on the first day of the new moon, you have a rest, a remembrance of Teruʽah, a set-apart gathering.
25 ‘You do no servile work, …”on this day(Lev.23:24-25).
*The day is a memorial.

Numbers 10:10, “And in the day of your gladness, and in your appointed times, and at the beginning of your new moons, you shall blow the trumpets over your ascending offerings and over your slaughterings of peace offerings. And they shall be a remembrance for you before your Elohim. I am יהוה your Elohim.”

Also Psalms 83:1 A Song. A Psalm of Asaph. Keep not silence, O God; do not be speechless, and be not still, O God. 

This day is very important. Not like the way you have been erroneously taught that things ended with Jesus at Calvary.

The new moon of the 7 th month of Tishri is special as its the day of blowing the Shofar and also called ‘the of shouting’.
Yom (Teruah)>#8643 comes from another Hebrew word ruwa #7321 ‘clamor’ ie an acclamation of joy or battle,as an alarm.

Whenever Israel went to war, the priest would blow a shofar -a silver trumpet-

Numbers 10:9-10,”And when you go into battle in your land against the enemy that distresses you, then you shall shout with the trumpets, and you shall be remembered before יהוה your Elohim, and you shall be saved from your enemies.
10 “And in the day of your gladness, and in your appointed times, and at the beginning of your new moons, you shall blow the trumpets over your ascending offerings and over your slaughterings of peace offerings. And they shall be a remembrance for you before your Elohim. I am יהוה your Elohim.”

Also a Shofar was blown to usher in the appointed feasts (His Holy Days), new months, and as a warning for war.

I’d wish to let come into your knowledge of one issue which the mainstream church will never comprehend or teach you. Why don’t they?

Jeremiah 6:16,” Thus said יהוה, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and find rest for yourselves. But they said, ‘We do not walk in it.’
17 “And I raised up watchmen over you, and said, ‘Listen to a voice of a Shofar!’ But they said, ‘We do not listen.’

Hear this my friends and brethren! You who have come out of Babylon…

18 “Therefore hear, you nations, and know, O congregation, what is upon them!”

The Church is not part of the Congregation of Yehovah. They have corrupted the teachings of God and His Messiah Yehshua (Jesus).

Do you know it is believed that Yehshua will return on a feast day?

Mattthew 24:29,”And immediately after the distress e of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, (Isa. 13:10; 24:23; Eze. 32:7, 8; Joel 2:10, 31; 3:15) and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.( Hag. 2:6, 21)
30 “And then the sign of the Son of Aḏam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, (Zec. 12:10, 14) and they shall see the Son of Aḏam coming on the clouds (Dan. 7:13 )of the heaven with power and much esteem.
31 “And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, (Is. 27:13) and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, (Dan. 7:2 )from one end of the heavens to the other.( Deu. 4:32.)
32 “And learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near”.

I Thes 4:16,” Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first”.

But when will this be?

Matthew 24:36 “But concerning that day and the hour no one knows, not even the messengers of the heavens, but My Father only.
37 “And as the days of Noaḥ, so also shall the coming of the Son of Aḏam be.
42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Master is coming.
43 “And know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
44 “Because of this, be ready too, for the Son of Aḏam is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him”-

No clue of the day of His coming?

Read Matthew 25:1-13.

In I Thes 5:4-6 we read,”But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
5 For you are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
6 So, then, we should not sleep, as others do, but we should watch and be sober”.ICor.15:51-52,”I speak a secret to you: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

1 Corinthians 15:52  in a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet. For a trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.

This day is ten days to Yom Kippurim.

This ten day period of time is referred to as ‘The Ten Days of Awe’.
